A great day out awaits.
Already explored our lovely Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa and its grounds? Why not head out into the city? Here’s a few of some of the most interesting things to do in Basingstoke…
Milestones Museum (10 minute drive)
Learn Hampshire’s history.
Go all the way back to the Victorian era, stopping at all the big milestones in Hampshire’s history. Buy rations from a 1940s shop, take a tour round their vintage vehicle collection, and even see a working Victorian printing press. Milestones Museum is truly one of the most interesting places to visit in Basingstoke.

The Vyne (12 minute drive)
Explore a former Tudor powerhouse.
The Vyne was home to aristocratic lords and ladies for over 500 years, and even played host to Elizabeth I on two separate occasions. Check out the pre-Reformation chapel where you can see the earliest depiction of Henry VIII in stained glass. You can also see the domed summerhouse in the gardens, and a 600-year-old oak tree.

iFLY (10 minute drive)
Take the leap.
If you’re looking for things to do in Basingstoke that are a little bit out there, why not give indoor skydiving a try? It doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried it before, their fully trained instructors are ready and waiting to help you get that feeling of weightlessness in their wind tunnel. You can also give their Paraflight VR a try and perform tricks while exploring virtual landscapes.
The Manor House (20 minute drive)
Designed by Gertrude Jekyll, the most respected gardener of her time, the gardens at Upton Grey Manor House are a sight to behold. From the sloping lines of the Wild Garden to the strictly geometric shapes in the Formal Gardens, Jekyll’s skill at garden architecture is easily visible.
